Lately I've been photographing my hooved friends--the area is full of goats and sheep. Aside from the fact they just look really great, making portraits of them creates some interesting paradoxes about our ways of thinking about animals, and about portraiture itself. More on that as I work through the project. Meantime, I get to meet more hairy subjects and their friendly owners.
